Ctrl+V places a snip or a photo on the sheet as an image. An image no longer carries a name pill, and Remove background is gone. Border, Crop and all eight resize handles belong to the picture. Select Text copies words off a spec page; it is in review, so it stays off on layrbuild.app.
Ctrl+V places a picture from the system clipboard — a Win+Shift+S snip, a screenshot, or a photo copied in another app — under the cursor, at the size it was on screen, and selected. A picture whose longest side would pass a third of the sheet is scaled down to that. Whichever was copied last wins: Layr's own markups, or the picture. A paste into a text field still goes to that field. Paste is on for everyone. The Image tool's file picker and Snapshot stay in review.
A pasted image used to store "Snapshot 1", so the sheet showed a name pill and the black hover label the other tools had already dropped. A new image stores no name. An older image loses the pill and the hover label too, even when a name is still stored. The outline still lists it: a stored name if it has one, otherwise Snapshot and its place on the sheet, such as Snapshot 2. That list label is not written onto the markup.
Color and Line on an image used to do nothing, because the picture always drew a fixed gray hairline. Border is Rectangle's Border chip and the Color popover's Border color, drawn around the outside of the picture so it never covers the edge. A new image starts with no border. Crop works the way PowerPoint does: the whole picture shows dimmed, the kept part stays bright, and eight handles trim it. Enter or a click away applies; Esc cancels. The cut part is kept, so Reset crop brings it back. Remove background is gone from the bar.
All eight handles resize the box. Before, only the two stored corners moved, and they moved freely. A corner now keeps the picture's proportions, so a pasted photo does not warp; holding Shift during the drag frees it. A side handle stretches that one edge.
While a spec is open, Y or the I-beam next to Pan arms Select Text. Drag across the words, double-click a word, or triple-click a line. Shift extends the selection. Cmd/Ctrl+C or the Copy button copies it, ahead of a markup copy, with line breaks kept and a blank line between paragraphs. Dragging near the top or bottom of the spec pane scrolls the book. Below the last line selects to the end of that page. The selection stays on one page. On a drawing the same tool pans like the hand. This is in review: on at layrbuild.dev and locally, off on layrbuild.app.
ui:pasteImages is released. Paste is on at layrbuild.app, layrbuild.dev and locally, including while the Image tool stays in review. canPasteImages is also on when tool:ann-image is on, so a pasted image can be copied and duplicated.ui:selectText is review. The I-beam and Y are on at layrbuild.dev and locally, and off on layrbuild.app. Flipping it to released is a later change in src/domain/features/features.ts, not a database write.tool:ann-image stays review, so the Image tool's file picker and Snapshot stay off in production. Dimension, Pen, Eraser and Dynamic Fill are unchanged.GET /api/pages/[pageId]/words returns a page's stored word boxes for Select Text. It uses the same project read check as search-hits. No new table./Layr extras (crop, imageBorder). A flattened page gets the picture already cropped. ./layr bluebeam check compares an export against Revu on a machine that has Revu; ./layr bluebeam receipts warns, without Revu, and is not part of CI.0.27.0.ui:selectText is released. On a drawing it pans. A selection does not cross onto the next spec page, and spec pages are treated as one column.
